Real-world outcomes of robotic and non-robotic hysterectomy for endometrial cancer insights from a national cohort.DOI 10.1007s11701-025-02992-0

Endometrial cancer affects the lining of the uterus. Many women with this cancer need surgery to remove the uterus. This is called a hysterectomy. There are three main ways to do this surgery: open surgery (large cut), laparoscopic surgery (small cuts), and robot-assisted surgery (tiny cuts with robotic help).

This study looked at real-life results from over 5,000 women in Taiwan. It compared the three types of surgery to see which one had better results.

Women who had robot-assisted surgery did better in many ways:

Compared to laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery had similar results.

This shows that robotic surgery is safe and may even be better for some women.

IT helps the body recover faster and lowers the chance of problems after surgery.

Not every hospital has robotic tools, and not every woman is the right fit. But if you have endometrial cancer, ask your doctor if robotic surgery is an option for you.
